Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete the billback to management accounting processes in a timely manner, verify accuracy and completion of billback processes, confirm successful upload into both View Point and Yardi systems.

Complete CAT Tax filings in a timely and accurate manner via the Ohio Business Gateway system.

Compile monthly financial statements for review by the Corporate Controller.

Compile quarterly corporate financial statements for review and disbursement by the Corporate Controller.

Compile annual workpaper packets for review and disbursement by the Corporate Controller

Assist the Staff Accountant with Accounts Payable, review of account and bank reconciliations, and perform sign off process.

Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

Prepare documentation for External Auditors.

Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary.

Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO in running audits.

Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field required.

At least 5 years of accounting experience

3-5 years of accounting leadership experience is preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
