Axillon Aerospace is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our Engineering department at our Rockmart facility. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our aerospace and defense projects by providing technical assistance and ensuring the integrity of our engineering processes. The Engineering Technician provides technical assistance to the Engineering function, conducts testing and provides solutions to problems that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures.

Required Skills

Provides support to the Engineering function by performing routine engineering and developmental testing.

Provides data, information, and support to Engineering team.

Creates and utilizes spreadsheets and databases; performs screening and analyzing of data.

Troubleshoots electronics or electro-mechanical systems.

Assists with tasks to accomplish engineering business improvement objectives.

Provides Input and maintains, extracts, manipulates and analyzes key performance indicators

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Required Experience

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED

• Must display appropriate technical skills along with familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures to successfully meet responsibilities

• Proficient with MS Office products

• Proficient at extracting, manipulating, correcting and analyzing data

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work on multiple tasks with sometimes conflicting priorities

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, work ethics and ability to drive tasks to completion.

Must be able to lift 25 lb.

Must be able to work with hands to operate test tools and equipment.

Must work in tight, awkward workspaces to perform maintenance or test tasks.

Must be able to work standing and/or in a seated position and /or work on the floor in a kneeling, seated or crawling position.

Must, as required, be able to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.

Because Axillon Aerospace (Rockmart), Inc. is a US defense contractor, this position requires that the person must be considered a US person under the 22 CFR 120.15 (US citizen or resident alien status).
