About the role

We’re looking for a Founding Product Designer to take full ownership of product design at Slash. You’ll be the first in-house design hire, joining a fast-moving team and working closely with the founders, engineers, and PMs to craft clean, intuitive, and high-performance product experiences.

Right now, we work with a world-class external design agency and you’ll collaborate with them while transitioning Slash toward a fully in-house design function. Over time, you’ll be responsible for help building that team.

This is a high-leverage, foundational role. You’ll define how design shows up at Slash — across workflows, systems, and brand. You’ll work from high-level product thinking all the way down to pixel-perfect execution.

What you’ll be doing:

Own end-to-end product design across all surfaces: web, mobile, and internal tools

Work closely with our design agency to continue shipping

Establish and evolve our design system across platforms

Contribute to roadmap decisions and long-term product strategy

We’re looking for someone who:

Has exceptional taste and a strong eye for detail — from product flows to typography to branding

Is a generalist at heart — equally comfortable with UX, UI, visual design, and product thinking

Can take vague ideas and turn them into clear, beautiful interfaces

Cares deeply about how things look and how they work

Has a bias toward action and can operate independently in a fast-moving team
