Tool Maker

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a Tool Maker to join their Paso Robles, CA team. This role supports manufacturing by building molds, fixtures and related tools, completing repairs and revising design specifications as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 2 years tool making experience

• Experience with CNC machining, both set up and operation

Desired:

• 2-year technical degree in Machine Tool Trades/Tool and Die

• Experience with CAD/CAM programming

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Tool Room equipment to manufacture, repair and revise components for molds, fixtures, and related tools in a safe and timely manner

• Ensures tooling is manufactured to build plans that allow for proper fit and assembly to final design specifications

• Uses CAD/CAM technology to analyze and interpret design intent

• Monitors tooling resource queues utilizing MRP systems to ensure operations are completed on time

• Informs the appropriate stakeholders of any expected delays or potential impacts to tool performance or delivery

• Inspects machined components and records dimensional data

• Troubleshoot and repair molds (silicone & thermoplastic)

pay range $35-45/hr based on qualifications and experience
