Summary

The Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for pulling, checking and packing orders with productivity, quality and accuracy for all outbound shipments to end users, dealers or subsidiaries, assembly orders, or for replenishing stock. This position will require the person to process orders on the computer, which currently involves scanning, weighing and applying the shipping labels to the product. This position will also be responsible for restocking shelves and picking orders to carts, packing orders, replenishment and cycle counting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned

General Duties and Responsibilities

Pick, Pack, and Process consumer, Canada and retailer orders

Sort orders for customer and date of delivery

Process orders – scan TO, weigh parcel, apply label.

Organize parcels by shipping type

Maintain high productivity, quality and accuracy

Housekeeping (5S) – be part of maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including personal workstations or work areas and all general areas of the facility

Observing all Safety and Weber regulations, understanding of proper manual lifting techniques

Must be able to rotate to all positions noted below.

Meet the assigned picking, packing and processing rates as assigned

Use industrial powered equipment as required

Replenish Shelf and Bin locations

Understand work instructions (bills of material, visual work instructions, proper documentation and labeling) and be able to perform the picking, packing and assembly to meet the order and schedule deadlines

Pick orders by foot or by Wave/Little Joey or equivalent narrow aisle picking equipment

Order Picking

Picks orders in the Rack locations with scanning guns; meeting or exceeding the assigned hourly picking rate.

Organizes orders based on efficient travel through the picking locations

Check the part numbers, descriptions, and quantities for each order.

Uses the scan gun to scan the part location, and part bar code for each order

Stage each delivery in a separate bin within the pick cart (one delivery per bin)

Advises leader when the scanning gun is not working properly

Periodically cycle count – validating the bin/shelf quantity for the part with the quantity showing in the system.

Comprehend basic warehouse layout of bins/shelfs and items, including overstock and secondary locations

Notify cell leaders and supervisors of incorrect units of measure, expiration product, wrong item numbers, or damaged product.

Interact with Inventory Associate daily to ensure accurate inventory

Picks orders in the Rack locations with the wave/JLG when not pickable on foot and in a “B” or “C” location; meeting or exceeding the assigned hourly picking rate.

Packing for Parcel Order

Pack orders in assigned cartons by making boxes and using foam machine or bubble pack for parts protection

Verify correct part numbers, description, and quantity when packing orders

Place completed orders on conveyor

Read and understand the pick ticket, including special instructions,

Next Day Air, Second Day Air, QA inspection, Driver pick, etc.

Operating a computer used for processing orders

Understand proper packaging materials and procedures, including

weights, temperature requirements, corrugated boxes, labels, and

proper routing.

Maintain and stock proper inventory of packing supplies

Meet the assigned rate for packing

Meet the consumer service level agreement of all orders due to ship

Processing

Use the computer to process the order

Scanning the order info with the scan gun

Periodically auditing contents, changing shipping options

Weighing the product, getting the dimensions

Printing and affixing the label on the box

Separate all shipment types and organizing for Ground, Express, Smartpost, Canada

Manually load product in ground truck from conveyor, and assist to get product staged for Express, Smartpost, and Canada

Canada Processing

Pick and pack orders specifically for Canada consumer orders

Build pallet(s) for shipment with proper paperwork

Close out the system

Meet the consumer service level agreement of all orders due to ship

Packing to Stock (Assembly Responsibilities)

Performs more complex assemblies involving multiple parts. Assemble parts by arranging parts, screwing and fastening miscellaneous parts, and testing parts according to specific quality and production standards.

Prepares packing materials for use by ordering, counting, assembling, protectively wrapping and arranging parts in a carton or rack according to specific quality production and transportation standards.

Labels products by identifying and applying labels to parts, cartons, and pallets.

Monitors quality of production by self-check, successive checks and comparison to quality standards.

Active with troubleshooting and continual improvement of the process.

Keep tools in good working order.

Stock proper inventory of packing supplies.

Pick order and any missing parts by due date or priority from staging area

Prepare packing material on one table of the working area

Verify quantity per piece by analyzing order and dividing the amount of parts by total amount of pieces per order

Verify quantity per pallet on guidance book

Verify packing guidance book for specific assembling, packing or wrapping using some manual, air or electrical tools needed

Use Bubble wrap machine, clipper machine and Ran pack machine per order specs

Fill out a full tag per pallet using info from order

Shrink-wrap full pallet by hand or machine and move it to put away area

When finished fill out order by writing down pieces done, date and initials and turn it in to Supervisor or cell lead

Get empty pallet with a piece of flat carton on bottom when starting to fill a new one

When finish an order, putaway all equipment, tools and leftover material and clean area before starting another order

Attendance/Punctuality

Is consistently to work on time; adheres to the attendance policy

Arrives at department meetings on time

Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Ability to drive a light duty picking machine (Wave, JLG or equiv) or climb a 16’ ladder

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

General Warehouse conditions

Hourly Position Range: $17.90 - $19.85

*This hourly range represents Weber's good faith belief of what we reasonably expect to pay the top candidate
