Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Roswell, Georgia to work in the Manufacturing industry. This is a long-term contract opportunity where you will play a critical role in managing financial processes for a small yet innovative manufacturing business. The position requires a strong accounting background and offers the chance to work onsite in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with operational goals.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.
• Assist in auditing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data efficiently.
• Provide support in budgeting and forecasting activities to help meet organizational objectives.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives for greater efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.• Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software; experience with Epicor is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations.
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
