Job Overview

The Clinical Supervisor ensures that all service providers are providing appropriate and superior mental health and/or support services to clients of the Children’s Center. The Clinical Supervisor trains new therapists, and oversees Quality Assurance on all documentation, billing and record keeping functions to achieve compliance for funding contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Included but not limited to):

● Oversees the provision of all group and individual mental health supervision for services provided by unlicensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Clinical Social Workers, and Psychologists;

● Oversees all group and individual supervision for support services staff.

● Reviews case records for completeness, quality of progress notes, and appropriateness of therapeutic modalities;

● Able to identify and evaluate current mental health treatment theories and practices as they would apply to the Children’s Center;

● Provides crisis interventions as needed, including providing supervision and consultation to clinical and case management staff in the event of a crisis;

● Ensures that all documentation is clear, objective and in accordance to the requirements of both the Children’s Center and funding sources;

● Collaborates with key management staff regarding overall program development;

● Conduct mental health assessments to train unlicensed therapist as required;

● Provides on-going training, such as Evidence Based Practices, appropriate documentation, SMART goals, etc. to ensure quality clinical documentation;

● Provides effective case consultations with supervisees to increase quality of care;

● Other duties as assigned by Head of Service.
