Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description

Immediate opening for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a mid size law firm in San Francisco. This is a fully remote role! Seeking a proactive, diligent, detail oriented individual to join the technology team. Role will report to an executive and work closely with the infrastructure team and other department leaders.

Duties:

• Identify security threats, escalate threat and provide solutions

• Support and track the external information security assessments

• Prepare and respond to related compliance requests

• Assist in further defining the process for completing information security control assessments

• Support metrics and reporting and analysis of effectiveness of security control measures

• Documenting and cataloging department procedures

• Triage and analyze and attack patterns of suspicious emails and email threats

• Execute, and successfully deliver on other assigned projects and tasks

• 5+ yrs experience in cysber security engineer

• 4 year degree

• Strong understanding of multiple risk management concepts, frameworks such as NIST, COBIT and ISO

• Experience with auditing security controls identified in NIST SP800-171 and NIST SP800-53A;

• Certificates in any of the following highly desirable: CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, GIAC, CEH, CFCE, CompTIA Security+

• Broad knowledge of network protocols such as full TCP/IP stack

• Experience with Blue Team tools

• Experience with cloud services
