Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the nonprofit healthcare industry to find a CFO. This is a full time, permanent position in Lakewood. Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, identifying funding opportunities to support long-term organizational growth.
• Lead financial initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, managing costs, and generating new revenue streams.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and budget comparisons.
• Direct the development and management of budgets across organizational, departmental, and program levels.
• Supervise all accounting operations, including payroll, grants management, accounts payable/receivable, and revenue cycle functions.
• Implement and enforce internal controls, workflows, and accounting policies to ensure compliance and enhance processes.
• Manage cash flow, fixed asset accounting, and capital planning to support organizational needs.
• Ensure adherence to federal financial regulations and oversee audit processes, including tax preparation and reporting.
• Oversee investment strategies and capital planning efforts to align with growth and mission objectives.
• Collaborate on compensation strategies and long-term planning for staffing, facilities, and patient growth.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Master’s degree and CPA designation are strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of senior-level finance experience in organizations with $5M+ revenue, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
• Expertise in accounting software systems (Sage preferred) and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and federally funded health programs is a plus.
• Proven experience with annual audits, internal controls, and strategic financial planning.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and present financial dashboards to stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and Spanish fluency is an advantage.
