Junior Accountant

Job Description

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a repeat commercial client in the search for a new Junior Accountant to join their growing team. This position will report directly to the controller and will play a heavy role in the accounts payable invoicing process. Candidates with prior NetSuite experience are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Responsibilities

Enter vendor invoices into the accounts payable system, verifying proper documentation and required approvals.

Respond to vendor questions regarding payment status and follow up to resolve billing issues promptly.

Ensure accurate expense categorization and correct system entry for all outgoing payments.

Cross-check invoice quantities, items, and pricing against related purchase orders to validate accuracy.

Execute both electronic and manual disbursements, giving priority to invoices eligible for early payment discounts.

Reconcile vendor account balances and maintain up-to-date general ledger records.

Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial close activities and support related reporting tasks.

Compile and submit year-end tax documents, including 1099 forms for applicable vendors and contractors.

Organize and manage vendor documentation by scanning invoices and attaching relevant records to digital files.

Take on additional responsibilities and special assignments to assist the finance department as needed.
