Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables.

Install cameras and access control devices

Route cables through conduits, above ceilings, and between floors as per job specifications.

Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Identify color codes for various cable types (568A, 568B, 6 strand fiber, 12 strand fiber, 25 pair, and 50 pair).

Provide or relocate cable and modular connections.

Assist in the installation of communications hardware.

Complete projects within budget, on time, and safely.

Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in workmanship, customer relations, and teamwork.

Submit all paperwork on time.

Adhere to all project-specific and company safety requirements.

Conduct field training and second-level problem evaluation using documented procedures and available tools.

Top Skills Required:

Access Control and Cameras

Experience as a Low Voltage/Cable Technician (Voice, Data, and Cable).

Proficiency in running and terminating Cat5 and Cat6 cables.

Ability to read blueprints and use a multimeter.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Technicians must supply their own hand tools.

Steel toe boots, hard hat, and vest are required.

Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Work Environment:

Active job site/construction area.
