Data Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Foster City, California. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cloud data platforms and a hands-on approach to data engineering tasks. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other cloud-based tools.

• Create and implement clear documentation for data models, processes, and workflows.

• Build and manage data visualization solutions using Power BI to support analysis and decision-making.

• Automate repetitive tasks and processes by leveraging Power Automate.

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business needs.

• Troubleshoot and optimize data systems to enhance performance and reliability.

• Ensure the security and integrity of data throughout the lifecycle.

• Assist in the migration and integration of systems to Azure-based environments when necessary.• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and related cloud data platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for building and managing data pipelines.

• Strong ability to create data visualizations using Power BI.

• Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation.

• Proven expertise in data analysis and analytics, with a focus on actionable insights.

• Ability to work independently and handle diverse aspects of data engineering without being siloed.

• Excellent documentation skills for data processes and models.

• Experience in smaller company environments where versatility and adaptability are key.
