**Job Title: Lathe Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to operate and set up Swiss Lathe machines. This role requires effective communication with planners and leadership, as well as the ability to interpret blueprints and adhere to quality standards such as ISO9001/AS9100. The successful candidate will perform duties including operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes, ensuring setups are robust for safety and quality, and conducting inspections to verify product accuracy and integrity.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and set up Swiss Lathe machines.
+ Effectively communicate and take direction from planners and leadership.
+ Interpret blueprints using GD&T.
+ Perform work to meet standard labor and quality requirements, including ISO9001/AS9100.
+ Conduct duties as assigned, including operating and setup of CNC Swiss Lathes.
+ Perform setups for other operators to ensure proper safety and quality.
+ Operate hand and power tools for secondary operations.
+ Inspect completed parts for accuracy to print requirements.
+ Visually and physically inspect products for accuracy and flaws.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2 years of Swiss operating experience.
+ 1+ years of experience in blueprint reading.
+ Ability to set up and program Swiss CNC machines.
+ Proficiency in machine setup and machining operations.
+ Experience with lathe operation and tooling.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Training in the usage of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
+ Effective communication skills for discussing work procedures and directions.
+ Ability to work overtime, including up to 10 hours and possibly Saturdays.
+ Around 1 year of CNC experience and setups.

**Work Environment**
This position is located in a well-lit, clean, and temperature-controlled part of the facility. You may work on either the first shift, from 6 am to 4 pm (Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays), or the second shift from 3:45 pm to 2:30 am (Monday to Thursday). The facility is divided into fabrication and assembly/machinist areas.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $68640.00/yr.
