**Job Description**
The forklift operator position is responsible for operating fork lift to efficiently move products, materials, and supplies from one area to another. This role involves loading items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets, utilizing both stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Interviews for positions within the Distribution Center will be conducted across the street from the main plant.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets.
+ Utilize stand-up and sit-down forklifts for material handling.
+ Perform general labor tasks including production and inventory management.
+ Use RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking.
+ Unload materials and supplies as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6+ months of experience operating forklifts (stand-up or sit-down).
+ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
+ Basic math skills for inventory management.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with RF scanners and material handling.
+ Proficiency in general labor and production tasks.

**Work Environment**
The position is based in a manufacturing and production environment, potentially involving exposure to high places, moving machinery, and changing temperatures. The setting is not climate-controlled, resulting in high temperatures during summer and moderate temperatures in winter. The work is indoors with a loud atmosphere, and a dress code requiring steel-toed shoes, jeans or shorts, and appropriate work attire.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
