**Job Title: Yard Helper**
**Job Description**
The Yard Helper will assist in the loading and unloading of steel pipes and rods in the pipe. This role is not a forklift operator position. The Yard Helper will support the loading and unloading of trailers, spot and direct forklift operators, and help organize, rack, and stack rods and pipes in organized piles within the yard. General labor experience is preferred but not mandatory, as no experience is necessary for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must be willing to work outdoors and be flexible with any day or shift. Training will be provided for motivated candidates.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in loading and unloading steel pipes and rods.
+ Spot and direct forklift operators.
+ Organize, rack, and stack rods and pipes in organized piles within the yard.
+ Work outside in various weather conditions.
**Essential Skills**
+ General labor experience preferred but not required.
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Construction or outdoor labor experience is preferred.
+ Roustabout experience is similar and can be beneficial.
+ Attitude, work ethic, and attendance are prioritized above experience.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes both hot summers and cold winters, with conditions that are dirty and dusty. The job requires hard work lifting and stacking heavy steel pipes and rods. There is a brand new break room available, with water and ice provided. Both shifts are available: 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM and 2nd shift from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taft, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
