**Job Title: HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing various HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork. This role requires a dedicated professional who is committed to delivering top-notch service and ensuring the efficiency and safety of HVAC systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and provide effective solutions.
+ Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure HVAC systems are operating efficiently.
+ Replace or repair defective components, such as motors, thermostats, and compressors.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
+ Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about HVAC systems.
+ Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
+ Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
+ Assist journeyman licensed technicians on new installation of heating and cooling units in new construction residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings.
+ Assist journeyman technicians with delivery, installation, and troubleshooting heating and cooling equipment.
+ Assist with power vacuuming of furnace systems, cleaning up job site, lifting/moving units, etc.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
+ Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on residential systems.
+ Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills.
+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ EPA certification is ideal.
+ Familiarity with heating cooling installation, electrical, construction skilled labor, or mechanical aptitude.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of tools such as Impact Drill, Sawzaw, Wire Strippers, lighted level, Philips flat screwdriver, 8 oz hammer, drywall saw, malco bit, 4’’ bit adapter for impact drill, headlamp or flashlight, channel locks.
+ Skills in electrical, troubleshooting, repair, installation, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC system, Pro-Press, soldering, HVAC service, HVAC installation, EPA, mechanical, preventive maintenance, sheet metal, air conditioning.

**Work Environment**
Work in a team-oriented environment with a busy schedule. Once trained, on-call shifts are required every six weeks, with compensation. The workweek is Monday to Friday, typically 7 AM to 5 PM, with expectations of over 60 hours/week due to project demands. Technicians will be paired with a journeyman and may start the day at the job site or the shop. Dress code includes jeans, work boots, and work-appropriate t-shirts provided by the company.

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
