If you like solving complex problems using your deep purchasing and supplier management skills, this is the opportunity for you! As a Sr Purchasing Agent, you'll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for qualifying our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier information. Additionally, you'll provide subject matter expertise on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as independently manage multiple service type contracts. You'll help with the planning of the process for the purchasing function, and support programs. You'll assist business development, new programs, and productions programs for all procurement functions.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

Leading cross functional teams through complex negotiations

Analyzing, negotiating and redlining indirect agreements

Driving value-add outcomes for the business in all purchases

Placing POs and complex subcontract orders

Working with various categories of spend as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 10 or more years of relevant experience with sourcing, procurement and contract negotiations

Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

2 years IT procurement background

2 years experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience in CostPoint or other ERPs

CPIM, CPM or other professional certifications

Experience with Source-to-Pay tools (Ivalua, Ariba, Coupa, etc.)

Indirect/Direct contracting experience

Software/IT contracting and purchasing experience

Finance - Pricing Analysis Exercises

Familiarity with SAAS/ PAAS/ Terms & Conditions Negotiation
