General Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity for Summer Technology Assistants to join our summer team. As a Summer Technology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Technology Department during the summer months.

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week, Start and end times will vary depending on District and Department needs

Duration: June 3 - August 16

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Equipment Cleaning: Ensure that all technology equipment is clean and well-maintained.

Equipment Moving: Assist in the movement of technology equipment between various schools.

Imaging and Laptop Setup: Help with the imaging and setup of computers and other tech devices.

Driving to Various Locations: Transport equipment to different sites as needed (valid driver's license required).

Computer Hardware and Software: Utilize your skills in computer hardware and software to assist with troubleshooting and setup tasks.

Communication: Maintain excellent communication with team members and Supervisor.

Flexibility and Reliability: Be adaptable and dependable in fulfilling job duties.

Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Conditions of Employment:

Successful candidates must submit to a pre-employment fingerprint history check.

Regular and consistent attendance is required - June 3rd, 2024 - August 16th, 2024

Punctuality is required.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Valid driver's license and ability to drive to various locations.

Solid skills with computer hardware and software.

Excellent communication skills.

Flexibility and reliability in fulfilling job duties. Summer Dress Code Policy

Zion Elementary School District 6 has a traditional business attire dress code. However, during the summer months, the District has established a summer dress code that Summer Maintenance Helpers are required to maintain.

The following list is a guideline of appropriate and inappropriate attire under the summer dress policy.

Appropriate summer dress:

T-shirts (no offensive graphics)

Polo Shirts

Khakis

Denim jeans

Capri pants

Company logo wear

Leggings (may not be see through)

Casual/Work boots or athletic shoes Inappropriate summer dress:

Shorts (may not be above the knee)

Flip-flops or slip on footwear (ex: Crocs, etc.)

Sleeveless tops, halter tops or tank tops.

Heels or wedges

Tight, revealing or otherwise inappropriate clothing

Dresses or skirts

Clothing that is ripped, frayed, stained or messy All employees are expected to comply with this dress code in a manner consistent with their gender identity and expression. Employees who report to work inappropriately attired will be asked to clock out and leave work to change clothes.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

Work may involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.

Considerable physical activity. May require some heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require basic safety precautions.
