Low Voltage Technician

About the Role

We are currently hiring multiple Cable Technicians/Installers to focus on structured cabling installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber optic cable systems

Route and label cables according to project specifications and building codes

Install and mount communications equipment, racks, patch panels, jacks, and faceplates

Perform cable certification using testing tools (Fluke or similar)

Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company standards

Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and other technicians to ensure successful project execution

Document installation processes, test results, and project progress

Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site

Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues in low voltage systems

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus)

1–3+ years of experience in low voltage or structured cabling installation

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment

Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

OSHA 10 or 30 certificationCompany Description
