Job Description:

Autonomous Process Transformation

We are seeking a forward-thinking HSE Functional Lead to drive the transformation of SAP Health & Safety (HSE) processes towards an autonomous, intelligent enterprise model. The role involves redesigning workflows to minimize human interaction, enhance data accuracy, and enable real-time risk mitigation through automation, AI, and intelligent workflows across SAP platforms.

This position is critical in our digital transformation journey, bridging compliance, safety, and technology to create safer, smarter, and more autonomous operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the functional lead for the SAP HSE stream in a company-wide autonomous systems program.

Assess and document current HSE processes (incident management, safety observations, compliance tracking, chemical approvals, audits, etc.) and identify opportunities for optimization or automation.

Design future-state workflows that reduce manual data entry, streamline compliance reporting, and trigger system-driven actions (e.g., automatic incident logging from IoT sensors).

Partner with technical teams to integrate intelligent technologies (AI, RPA, machine learning, IoT) into HSE operations.

Ensure the EHS digital strategy aligns with regulatory standards, safety policies, and sustainability goals.

Collaborate with HQ HSE teams, SAP consultants, and enterprise architects to validate solution designs and user experiences.

Define and track KPIs for automation impact, reduction in manual steps, and process adherence improvements.

Lead change management and user adoption efforts during the transition to autonomous workflows.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of experience in EHS operations with in-depth knowledge of SAP EHS or SAP S/4HANA EHS modules.

Experience in process design, digitalization, or automation projects in safety, compliance, or risk management.

Strong understanding of HSE compliance frameworks (e.g., OSHA, REACH, ISO 14001/45001).

Familiarity with automation and AI technologies (SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, RPA, IoT) is a significant advantage.

Proven ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams to drive business transformation.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
