Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
Reports to: Director, Birth to Three Services
Part Time, Per Diem / Annual Calendar, Flexible Schedule
Waterbury Region
Pay Range: varies depending on experience and employment option
Position is open until filled / Anticipated start date is ASAP
Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) for the Birth to Three Department to deliver early intervention (Part C IDEA) services. The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Home visitation with infants, toddlers, and their families
2. Assist families with the implementation of strategies to enhance the development of their child
3. Develop IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) with families
4. Provide service coordination to families
5. Assist child with the transition to preschool programming
6. Work in trans-disciplinary team of Early Childhood professionals
7. Other duties as may be assigned
8. Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
Ability to develop effective relationships Excellent interpersonal skills
Qualifications/Requirements:
BCBA certificate and CT-DPH LBA license.
Experience with young children with autism spectrum disorders.
Good organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, in person or email with other employees, agencies and families. Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations Travel: Travel required within the Waterbury Region. Must have reliable transportation, have a driver’s license, and car insurance.
