Job Summary:
The NP/PA employed by EMG plays a crucial role in delivering specialized medical services to the Movement Disorder team. This includes conducting comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing various movement disorders, and developing individualized treatment plans. The NP/PA collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Neurologists and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure effective patient care. This position is Monday-Friday 8\:00am-4\:00pm, with minimal on-call responsibilities. This position is 100% outpatient. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices' patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
Education:
Required\: Masters of Science degree in Nursing (MSN), Nurse Practitioner specialty Or a certified Physician Assistant Program

Required\: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee. Eligibility to sit for certification in area of specialty
BLS prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a Tennessee license. However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents. Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.
