The IMRIS Surgical Theatre enables intraoperative imaging directly within operating rooms. The Company also designs and manufactures proprietary head fixation devices, imaging coils and OR tables for use in this unique and multifunctional intraoperative environment. It is estimated that over 70,000 patients have benefited from lifesaving or life-extending procedures performed in an IMRIS Surgical Theatre. IMRIS will continue to integrate new intraoperative imaging technologies and shape the future of neurosurgery in operating rooms worldwide.
We are currently searching for a Warehouse Associate to join our Operations team. This role will be performed on-site and is based in the Greater Twin Cities area at our Chaska, MN headquarters. The ideal candidate should reside in the Greater Twin Cities area.
TheWarehouse Associate is responsible for efficiently receiving, inspecting, processing, labeling, storing, and shipping inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of ordersincluding the assembly of crates for large equipmentwhile maintaining inventory accuracy and minimizing loss.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and unload incoming inventory, ensuring items are placed correctly and safely in designated areas
Inspect goods for damage or defects; verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase order
Accurately process, pack, and ship customer orders, including large equipment shipments
Assemble custom crates and secure large equipment for safe transportation
Determine appropriate shipping methods based on product type, destination, and cost considerations
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and international shipping forms
Coordinate with team members to resolve discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or non-conforming items
Maintain adequate stock of shipping materials and supplies
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and electric), and other material-handling equipment to move inventory
Route or deliver materials internally using warehouse equipment
Pack, seal, label, and prepare shipments using hand tools, power tools, and postage meters
Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and issue delivery instructions
Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and discrepancies, for tracking and reporting
Perform daily warehouse cleaning, organizing, and support ongoing 5S initiatives to ensure safety and efficiency
Conduct daily cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, and maintain accurate inventory records
Fulfill inventory requisitions and deliver materials to designated departments or work centers
Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Reports directly to the Director of Operations
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
Understanding of domestic and international shipping logistics for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
Knowledge of safety and insurance regulations related to shipping and material handling
Familiarity with inventory control, warehousing best practices, and 5S methodology
Proficiency in administrative tasks including documentation, data entry, and shipping system use
Ability to safely lift or move items weighing 3545 lbs. regularly and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
Certification and hands-on experience operating forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks
Skilled in using warehouse equipment: hand trucks, carts, power tools, and postage meters
Comfortable using warehouse management software and basic computer applications like Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and prioritization skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a positive and respectful attitude
