OVERVIEW
Cache County is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance Division! This is a full-time, benefitted position generally working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Payroll Coordinator executes county-wide payroll administration in compliance with county and state codes and policies. The Payroll Coordinator wage range starts at $24.20 ah hour.
Available benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance on the first day of employment, retirement contributions, bereavement leave, and 14 paid holidays. Full-time employees also receive 18 days of personal leave in the first year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to support and execute the County's payroll functions. Key responsibilities include processing timesheets, calculating employee earnings and deductions, reconciling payroll data, preparing tax forms, and ensuring compliance with County policies, codes, and applicable payroll laws.
Additionally, the Payroll Coordinator maintains accurate and confidential payroll records, resolves payroll-related issues, and communicates relevant policies, procedures, and practices to employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: An Associates degree in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or related field; AND Two (2) years of responsible experience preferably in governmental accounting; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: working knowledge of general office practices, computer accounting applications and various software financial programs (Caselle, BambooHR) and Google Suite.
