Job Description
The Production Control Clerk is responsible for assisting with the processing of jobs to the shop, assisting with inventory control processes, accurate data entry using inventory software systems and processing of department reports. The job will utilize Excel, manufacturing specific databases, and MES systems. The position will require working directly with various members of the engineering, production management and shop floor personnel.
Responsibilities
Assemble job packets for the production team
Perform accurate data entry using specified software platforms
Run inventory cycle counts and report findings to department supervisor
Perform tracking of earned work hours for the production shop
Communicate with various department members for order status updates
Update routings and pricing items in MES system
Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders
Assist management with the annual physical inventory process
Work on special projects if required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Two (2) or more years materials or manufacturing planning experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products
Ability to work with MES systems
Great written and oral communication skills
Team oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work overtime if required
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and a plant which is not temperature controlled.
Inside Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud.
In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
