Security Officer (Museum)

Schedule: Part-time

Thursday to Sunday 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Location: Watertown, MA (Parking is available)

Pay range: $18.00 to $19.00 hourly

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Conduct bag checks at designated checkpoints if needed.

Patrol museum galleries, entry points, and surrounding grounds to monitor for safety and security issues

Monitor visitor activity to ensure compliance with museum rules and protect the integrity of exhibits

Provide directions, information, and assistance to visitors and staff

Complete daily incident reports and maintain accurate security logs

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including securing exhibits and public areas

Requirements :

Prior experience in security, especially in roles involving access control, screening, or event security, is strongly preferred.

Ability to remain on foot and mobile for extended periods during assigned shifts.

Strong attention to detail and heightened situational awareness.
