Job Description

As a Mold Setter, you will ensure proper setup and efficient operation of injection molding machines, including the installation and removal of molds, setting up processing equipment, and supporting production operations. You will play a key role in maintaining machine readiness, optimizing setups, and ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the molding process.

2nd shift available: 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday, must be available to train on day shift 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m Monday-Friday.

Paying up to $21/hr to start

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and change injection molding machine molds per scheduled requirements.

Install and set up auxiliary equipment such as thermolators, hot runners, and water tools.

Perform mold cleaning, inspections, and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move molds and tools.

Accurately complete and maintain mold setup sheets and production logs.

Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in mold setting or die setting in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull heavy loads with wheeled carts or rollers, and work in environments with noise, dust, and heat.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with injection molding machines and basic knowledge of plant machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.

Skills: Ability to read blueprints and follow technical procedures for mold setup.

Certifications: Forklift certification is preferred or ability to obtain certification.
