You’ll work with a wide range of clients across industries—developing everything from full websites to landing pages, integrations, and performance enhancements. This role leans heavily into front-end development, translating visual concepts into functional, accessible, and engaging web experiences.
You’ll need to be a proactive self-starter who can balance multiple projects, think independently, and communicate effectively with our creative, project management, and client service teams. If you’re energized by variety, collaboration, and doing great work on deadline—this is the role for you.
NOTE: While we are accepting both Gainesville, FL-based and remote applicants, there is a strong preference for candidates in the EST time zone. Only USA-based candidates will be considered for this position. Frankel is unable to provide sponsorship at this time.
Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, and updates websites with a focus on front-end development using modern technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, etc.).
Builds HTML emails with best standards and practices.
Builds visually engaging, responsive web pages that function seamlessly across devices and browsers.
Collaborates closely with the creative team to bring design concepts to life in an accurate and user-centered way.
Works with client services and project management teams to ensure that web projects meet specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
Troubleshoots and resolves front-end issues related to design, responsiveness, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
Assists in implementing SEO best practices and setting up website analytics tools.
Maintains strong attention to detail for quality control, proofreading, and testing before deployment.
Communicates proactively about project timelines, challenges, and deliverable statuses.
Presents ideas and improvements to enhance website performance, accessibility, and user experience.
Keeps up-to-date with emerging front-end development trends, tools, and technologies.
Ensures all work aligns with client brand standards, technical requirements, accessibility guidelines, and security best practices.
Requirements
Ability to work 20-30 hours per week
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a web development role, preferably at a marketing or creative agency.
Strong proficiency in front-end development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Experience with WordPress CMS required; familiarity with Shopify, Webflow, or other CMS platforms is a plus.
Comfortable troubleshooting front-end performance, responsive design issues, and layout consistency across browsers.
Capable in Google Workspace: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets.
Working knowledge of SEO principles and website analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4).
Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for clean design and UX.
A proactive communicator who listens empathetically and collaborates across departments.
Extremely organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines.
Curious, adaptable, and excited to contribute ideas to the creative and operational process.
