We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various events at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton hotel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable experiences and a strong background in hotel event management. This role requires excellent communication skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and a keen eye for detail. The Event Manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure that all aspects of events are executed flawlessly.
Duties:
Develop and implement event plans that align with client objectives and budgets.
Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and transportation.
Manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on event progress.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best services at competitive rates.
Oversee on-site event management, ensuring all details are executed as planned.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and enhance guest engagement.
Provide exceptional guest services before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction.
Experience:
Proven experience in event management in the hospitality industry.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience in budgeting for events and managing financial resources effectively.
Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus, particularly in banquet services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Knowledge of event planning software or tools is preferred but not mandatory.
