Accounting Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Reporting and Analysis:

· Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

· Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial statements.

· Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities.

First-line financial package preparation

Acting as a point of contact with global and external finance teams

· Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

· Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast.

· Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

· Accounting Operations:

Ownership of monthly close and internal reporting

· Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

· Oversee the preparation and accountability of general ledgers, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Oversite customer invoicing packages prior to sales final approval

Ongoing vendor management and cost tracking

Resolving escalated issues with billing, collections, or GL accounts

· Team Leadership and Supervision:

· Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, AP & AR

· Delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring accurate and timely completion.

· Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

· Audit Support:

· Assist with internal and external audits.

· Prepare audit schedules and documentation.

· Work with auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audit processes.

· Financial Strategy and Planning:

· Participate in the development and implementation of financial strategies.

· Advise on financial matters and provide recommendations to management.

· Contribute to the overall financial health and stability of the company.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Experience: Several years of experience in accounting, with experience in a management or supervisory role.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing procedures.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
