Job Title: Sales Account Manager

Job Summary:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met, and driving sales growth within assigned accounts. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, relationship management skills, and technical proficiency to effectively promote and sell our products/services. The Sales Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understand their business objectives, and identify opportunities to provide solutions that deliver value and drive revenue. This position requires approximately 10% - 20% travel to client sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Account Management:
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with assigned key accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, needs, and issues; including quoting/pricing.
Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and requirements.
Proactively identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients through upselling and cross-selling.
Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
Sales and Business Development:
Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and quotas.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales goals.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
Generating new revenue streams and expanding Greer: Springs reach by identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and close deals.
Technical Knowledge and Expertise:
Acquire and maintain a strong understanding of our products/services and their applications.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions that meet client needs.
Stay up to date on industry trends, technologies, and competitive offerings.
Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with internal teams, including operations, engineering, outside sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure client needs are met.
Communicate client feedback and market insights to internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Travel:
Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 10% - 20% of the time) to conduct meetings, deliver presentations, and provide on-site support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or a related field.
5 + years of experience in sales account management or a similar role, preferably in Industrial Manufacturing.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate technical information.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in CRM software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
