About the United States Air Force Academy
The mission of the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become leaders of character, motivated to lead the United States Air and Space Forces in service to our nation. The USAFA Office of Student Academic Affairs and Academy Registrar is the central point for coordinating all cadet academic activities culminating in graduation to become new Air and Space Force officers.
Aleut is searching for a teammate to tsupport a variety of academic scheduling support activities. The ideal candidate is experienced with student information systems, possesses exceptional written and verbal communications skills in English, highly-detail oriented, experienced with Excel and Teams, and efficient file maintenance.
This role will be full time, year-round.
Responsibilities
Support USAFA cadet scheduling activities using Excel and software scheduling tools, applying high attention to detail and self-checking to ensure accuracy
Analyze and assess current and alternate scheduling processes using a government provided scheduling tool
Participate in the review and testing of scheduling process scenarios to help define the impact of key variables models
Collaborate closely with faculty and staff
Provide training to USAFA faculty on operations of the COMPASS Student Information System (SIS)
Advise Government leadership on recommendations for business process improvements and implementation of best practices
Provide Admin support as directed by the Government
Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a 4-year accredited, Bachelor of Arts/Science (or higher) college/university systems that enable remote automated system control
Skills and Experience
Experience with software to support Registrar Office functions (e.g. class and room scheduling, course management, grade tracking, etc.) with an understanding of data protection
Ability to work independently with high degree of attention to detail and self-checking
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Teams, and Adobe applications
Exceptional interpersonal and teambuilding skills
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills in English
Ability to work in the high operations tempo of a quasi-university environment founded on military standards
Familiarity with military rank, protocol, and culture
Special Requirements
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
Salary Range:
$65,000 -- $75,000 (annually)
