Job Description

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced warehouse assembler to join a manufacturing team located in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in warehouse assembly and electrical knowledge.

Location: Charlotte, NC 28273

Pay Rate: $18/hr.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

*No weekends, occasional overtime required [infrequent]

*Previous trade experience is not necessary but is a plus – HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Construction, Automotive, etc.*

Main Duties:

Picking and Building – Fulfill orders by accurately picking ticketed items and combining items into custom assemblies, depending upon what is called for with the order. This can include the use of bolts, lock washers, wrenches, bandsaws, and other hand tools for assembly and forklifts/cherry pickers, rolling stairs, and stepstools for accessing products on shelves. Once orders are complete and checked for accuracy, Assembly Team members place finished orders in the appropriate shipping queue.

General Warehouse Cleaning and Housekeeping – When needed: Restock product on shelf, rearrange/consolidate product on pallet, sweep floors, pick up trash/tidy product on shelving, empty trash/recycled material bins, breakdown pallets & crates for disposal, etc.

Special Projects – Main duties do not always fill a 40-hour work week alone. Therefore, there are sometimes additional tasks given to this position based on the current and on-going needs of the warehouse.

Requirements:

- This position offers on-the-job training for the basics, but candidates must be open to AND have the capacity for developing their technical knowledge related to our product line, custom builds, and customer base.

- This is a technical job and requires the ability to learn and remember technical information I.E. commit certain information to memory. The ability to learn and recall information is a good predictor of success.

- While the position starts off slow, it is expected that candidates pick up speed and efficiency over time in their work capacity and job knowledge.

- Candidates must be able to stay focused, organized, and on-task in a fast-paced work environment.

- Candidates must consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.

- Candidates must have a strong sense of common courtesy & common sense when it comes to their work area and shared spaces I.E. clean up after yourself, clean up as you work, don’t leave messes for your coworkers.

- Must have your own, reliable vehicle.

Full-time
