Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor or Manager to join our CPA firm. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to our diverse client base. This position requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

We offer great work/life balance with summer hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day. We also offer a commission structure for clients you bring into the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee client bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.

Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Analyze client financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with firm partners and clients to deliver tailored accounting and advisory solutions.

Stay current on industry regulations, tax laws, and accounting best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Active CPA license required.

Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax codes.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams or projects.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and team interactions.
