Customer Service Rep - Entry Level

Job Description

Our client is an analytical testing laboratory seeking a Customer Service Representative for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the Portland, OR area. The Customer Service Representative plays an essential role in providing sample receiving information and client communications in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLIITIES:

Monitors client requests and organizes the receiving process from initial communications to sample login

Generates sample ID numbers in the computer system following standard procedures

Communicates necessary information with lab staff to ensure streamlined workflow

Generates quotes when directed and verifies previous quotes to convey accurate price information

Sends sample receipt emails and communicates with clients about sample status

Works with Accounting on client pricing and purchase order information

Coordinates sample shipments to external third-party laboratory services as needed

Provides customer service to current and prospective clients - answers general inquiries and responds to questions

Maintains client files and detailed records of communications

Contributes to the continuous improvement of Customer Service processes

Other duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Sales and Marketing Manager

EDUCATION

High school diploma and six months to one year office experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful client communication and customer service experience

Administrative work experience

Ability to handle deadlines

High emotional intelligence

Good cultural awareness and communication with people who have diverse backgrounds

Experienced user of MS Office and Adobe AcrobatCompany Description
