Job Title: Material Handler

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Location: Chicago, IL 60654

Pay: $17.60 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience)

Requirements: Resume,interview, background check, pre-employment physical, and authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, moving, and storing materials efficiently while ensuring accuracy in inventory and shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Read customer orders, shipping pick lists, or bills of lading to determine items to be moved or shipped.

Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to designated storage or shipping locations.

Inspect received materials for accuracy and quality.

Sort and properly place materials in assigned storage locations.

Mark materials with identifying information as needed.

Record amounts of materials received and distributed to maintain accurate inventory records.

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.

Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required. (50lbs required)

Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
