Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Job Description

Client is seeking a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer with strong experience in HDI PCB Design, and blind and buried vias. The engineer will help develop cutting-edge embedded hardware systems with our client in the Lehi area. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment and bring deep expertise in high-density PCB design.

Skills and Requirements

· BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

· 7+ years of experience designing electronics hardware

· 5+ years of HDI PCB design/layout experience with complex stack-up configurations

· Blind and buried vias

· Expertise in mixed-signal circuit design

· Proficiency in Altium Designer and experience with Altium 365 Workspaces

· Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers

· Familiarity with interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, DAC

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

· Ability to anticipate firmware integration needs during hardware development

· Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and test embedded hardware systems

· Create and maintain HDI and non-HDI PCB designs in Altium Designer

· Troubleshoot, integrate, and verify hardware functionality

· Participate in peer reviews across engineering teams

· Document design decisions and testing outcomes

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product alignment

· Work closely with external partners like contract manufacturers and PCB vendorsCompany Description
