Position Summary
In this role, you will empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives while maintaining their highest level of independence. You will play a key role in supporting consistent behavioral patterns and implementing effective behavior intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Behavior Support Programs (BSPs), monthly behavior reports, and other required documentation within designated timeframes.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized support strategies for individuals on your caseload.
Conduct annual assessments, including Risk Assessments and Functional Behavior Analyses, ensuring compliance with all required evaluations.
Supervise and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in implementing behavior intervention strategies, offering guidance and retraining as needed.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation, providing additional training when necessary.
Train new and existing DSPs on behavior intervention techniques and updates to BSPs.
Lead regional Behavior Management Committee meetings and respond to crisis situations as assigned.
Advocate for the rights and independence of individuals, ensuring adherence to policies and Client regulations.
Maintain ongoing communication with guardians, Independent Service Coordinators (ISCs), Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDPs), nurses, and other supervisory staff.
Track time and service documentation for accurate billing.
Accompany individuals to medical appointments, emergency rooms, or urgent care visits as needed, serving as a liaison between the organization and healthcare providers.
Participate in intake and transition meetings, assisting with initial BSPs and facilitating smooth transitions.
Maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, Safety Care, and other required skills within prescribed timeframes.
Complete all required employee records, training, and meetings on time.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of Master’s degree in Human Services field and Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst
At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities with co-occurring mental health or neurocognitive disorders (or under the supervision of a licensed professional that has training and experience in functional analysis and tiered behavior support plans with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities)
