HIL Lab Engineer

What you will be doing:
Hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) bench environment hardware testing and maintenance
Resolve daily test system/equipment hardware issues.
Support daily setups and setup changes for HIL test systems and test equipment
Ensure benches have required software support items as applicable including` but not limited to CyberApps plant models, LUIS Configurations, and support sequences
Gartech LUIS Bench Configuration support, and configuration management per test plan schedule
HIL test bench wiring harness test, installation and updates per applicable processes and test plan schedule
HIL test bench wiring harness builds or modifications as required per test plan schedule
Maintain system configuration documentation i.e what hardware, cards, serial numbers, load drawer style, etc.
System setup/design/maintenance/calibration activities and process improvements
CAN panel configuration documentation maintenance
Harness maintenance checkouts per schedule
Actuator cart configuration and maintenance
Overall system maintenance activities and organization as defined
Support equipment hardware checkouts before delivery/shipping per schedule
Work with Hardware Engineer on project support needs
Electronic test custom development support
Custom test hardware development, documentation, and build as requested
Daily general lab support (applies to all)
Contribution to daily troubleshooting and troubleshooting guide development and updates
Contribution to training and training updates
Contribution to inventory maintenance, lab maintenance and upkeep
Contribution to continuous improvement projects
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
Experience with troubleshooting electronics on test benches.
Associates degree or similar education equivalent in Electrical Technology or other relevant technical disciplines preferred
Communicates effectively
Read and write technical documentation
Documentation of procedures and steps
Problem Solving and Nimble Learning with software tools and computers
Skilled with Windows Operating Systems and Software Applications
Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Ability to explore solution reference databases
Humble, teachable, and who solve their own problems
Great collaborator
Preferred:
HIL Test Bench Experience
Test and Measurement Equipment experience (DMM, scope, etc.)
NI Software experience (LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand) or similar
NI hardware experience (PXI, SLSC, cRIO) or Vector or similar
CAN communication and networks
Engineering Tools (such as Calterm, INSITE, etc.)
Wiring harness construction and support
