Purpose:

The Co-op role provides a learning experience in a manufacturing setting for students’ related field of undergraduate or graduate study. Internships with a quality focus would support activities pertaining to Vesuvius Penn’s quality control programs.

Key responsibilities:

Provide administrative support for the Quality program

Assist with documenting written Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures

Participate in laboratory testing activities

Aid with internal audits and inspections Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a Materials, Ceramic, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other technical field of study

Previous experience as an intern a plus Top Competencies:

MS Office computer skills

Verbal and written communications skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to work in a safe manner

Ability to interpret and understand technical documents

Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment

Ability to travel regionally

Valid PA drivers’ license and reliable transportation
