The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Cloud Operations Manager to lead IndySoft’s cloud infrastructure operations. This leadership role is vital to ensuring the reliability, security, cost-efficiency, and scalability of our SaaS environment, directly impacting the delivery of our products to customers across the globe.
As the Cloud Operations Manager, you’ll oversee internal staff and key vendors to ensure uptime, compliance, and that performance meets enterprise expectations. Your work will enable our cloud-hosted solutions to scale with demand, stay secure, and remain aligned with compliance standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
This is a high-impact role for someone who is both technically adept and operationally minded, someone who thrives in cross-functional collaboration and enjoys improving systems, reporting, and performance visibility.

Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Oversight & Accountability
· Lead and manage the cloud operations team and vendors who maintain and enhance our systems.
o This role is key in managing and monitoring the activities of external third-party information technology vendors to ensure alignment with security concerns, organizational goals, contractual obligations, and service-level agreements.
· Define team priorities, assign strategic work, and ensure alignment with company goals.
· Own cloud budgeting, vendor contracts, and cost optimization strategies.
· Develop and implement proactive cloud operations strategies to maintain system stability, optimize performance, and minimize downtime
Infrastructure, Uptime & Monitoring
· Ensure uptime and performance across customer-facing environments.
· Oversee disaster recovery planning and backup validation.
· Implement and evaluate system monitoring tools and surface performance risks.
Security, Compliance & Governance
· Manage identity and access management (IAM), including PIM, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
· Lead compliance efforts for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST SP 800-218.
· Maintain Azure Policy, Blueprints, and enforce security baselines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Align cloud operations with business objectives and ensure seamless integration of new cloud services
· Act as the escalation point for cloud-related issues across Support, Development, and our Professional Services team.
· Provide infrastructure insight to product deployment strategies and SaaS delivery.
· Communicate cloud risks and requirements to senior leadership clearly and proactively.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· 5+ years managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong preference for Azure.
· Hands-on experience with Azure security (e.g., PIM, Conditional Access, Sentinel).
· Experience leading internal teams and vendor relationships.
· Familiarity with cloud cost control, compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-218).
· Strong project management and operational communication abilities.
· Previous work in a SaaS company with DevOps, Support, and Implementation teams.
· Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator Associates (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or CISSP/CCSP are strongly preferred.
Job Details
· Type: Full-Time, Remote or Hybrid from Daniel Island, SC
· Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience
