Production Lead

Job Description

Summary

We are looking for a Production Lead who is in charge of the entire production process for a particular or set of products. They plan, organize and recommend strategies in ensuring that the product is developed successfully, in accordance with all specifications. They supervise teams that work in operations and product development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.

2. Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality

3. Ensure that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards obtainable in the industry

4. Maintain proper inventory levels at all times which may require monitoring and placing orders for raw materials.

5. Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product line.

6. Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels

7. Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards

8. Ensure that work materials are present as at when needed.

10. Monitor workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures

11. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

· Three to Five years of experience in relevant manufacturing environment or 1-2 years of inter-company manufacturing experience.

· Forklift certification may be required.

Travel

Travel may be required up to 20% of the time to other manufacturing locations within the Playcore Company.

Computer Skills

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Previous ERP system experience is preferred.

Other Requirements

Frequent standing and using hands and fingers, frequently walking, stoop, kneel or crunch, Moderate climbing of stairs, constantly talking to convey and exchange information, listening, frequently seeing to determine, distinguish, inspect assess or estimate. Moderate reaching above and below shoulders

Must be able to frequently move, lift/push/pull objects that are 75 pounds getting help with heavier pieces
