CNC Machinist – 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Harwood Heights, IL or Bensenville, IL
Pay: $24–$35/hr (plus $1/hr 2nd shift premium)
Shift Options:
• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (currently offering some OT, but aiming to reduce long-term)

The Harwood Heights site is known for its tight-knit team, clean job shop environment, and low turnover. The company has recently expanded its machining department with new equipment and is now looking to hire experienced CNC Machinists on both 1st and 2nd shift to support continued growth.
About the Role
This is a full-cycle machinist position ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, precision work, and the ability to contribute across both machining and inspection. You’ll be working with Haas and Duson CNC lathes and mills, running existing programs, making adjustments, and conducting your own in-process inspections.

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and mill-turn equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols
Use a variety of measuring tools including micrometers, drop indicators, and calipers
Perform first-piece inspections and document all inspection data
Make tool offsets and adjustments as needed to maintain part quality
Collaborate with inspection staff to ensure product meets specs
Work from existing programs—editing experience is helpful but not required
Qualifications
Must-Have:
2+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environment
Experience with lathes and mills (preferably Haas or Duson)
Ability to read complex blueprints and GD&T
Strong attention to detail and documentation
High school diploma or GED
Stable work history with long-term roles preferred
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with Fanuc-controlled CNC equipment
Experience with mill-turn machines
Ability to troubleshoot and edit programs (CAM or converational)
Exposure to aerospace, defense, or other tight-tolerance industries
