Work Directly for a specialty Manufacturer to the Medical Device/Aerospace & Automotive Industries

Summary: Wire EDM Programmer

Job Duties:

-Set-up a variety of equipment; Wire EDM, ECG (Electrochemical Grinding), ECM (Electrolytic Cut off Machine). May be asked to operate equipment when needed.

-Be able to assist manufacturing engineering and applications engineering in determining process capabilities, designing fixtures, and optimizing manufacturing process.

-Follow the documented process to perform operation, set-up and adjust equipment to meet the specifications and quality control specifications for operation.

-Responsible for following all cGMP guidelines and internal work instructions. This includes but is not limited to ensuring first piece inspection occurs, in process inspection, and adjustment of process during production.

-Sets-up all safety devices and necessary support equipment. Instructing operators in the use of equipment and safety. Lead the work of one or more subordinates when required.

-Work with and assist the Production supervisor to rectify tooling or quality related problems.

Requirements:

-5+ years of experience in programming and setting up of Wire EDM machines. This includes writing the required program, fixture design and interacting with operations supervision and quality to ensure timely completion of acceptable product.

-Previous experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred

-Experience with various types of CNC based equipment is preferred.

-Continually required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment.

-Continually required to work near moving mechanical parts.

-Continually exposed to loud noise.

-Required to wear safety goggles, a mask, pants that cover down to the ankle, and closed-toe shoes.
