Manufacturing Engineer

Description

Manufacturing Engineer for BWay Corporation to work at our Homerville, GA loc. Manage activities of cost reduction projects – write AFE reports. Monitor & improve machine process, develop work instructions, & train operators, supervisors, managers on new or modified processes. Improve OEE across plant using down time tracking tools & creating pareto charts of downtime events. Collect data with the latest technology of integrated downtime tracking tools. Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing & conducting research programs. Assist in determining root cause & provide corrective action with customer product complaints. Participate in projects that support reduction of downtime. Organize, plan & commission new or modified production lines. Investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic & methodical manner. Develop appropriate manufacturing process documentation for integration into the company’s quality system. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock & vibration. Noise level in work environment is usually loud. Potential exposure to hot plant temperatures on a seasonal basis. May undergo background checks and drug screening. Must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial) or related field; 3 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience; and required skills. Requires skills (3 years) in: computer and data analysis to evaluate manufacturing processes; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
