JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for keeping the grounds and backside barn/stall area maintained with a clean, neat, and orderly appearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Removing all trash, manure, and debris from assigned work area.

• Responsible for ensuring all chain fences are cleared, straight, and secure.

• Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees, by keeping roads and walkways clean of debris, snow, ice or any other obstructions.

• All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions. Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions. Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of employees and guests at all times. Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements. Knowledge of personal protective equipment. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Complete knowledge of all facilities and entertainment available to guest.

Work area consists of all facilities on property. Able to work around horses. Some confined areas. Exposed to hot and cold temperatures. Varied weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals used in maintenance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting 5%

Standing 35%

Lifting - up to 40 lbs. 10%

Bending 25% (from waist)

Walking 25%

Must be able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent.
