Orangewood Surgical Center is afast-paced, team-oriented Multi-Specialty Surgical Center located in Orange, California, right off the 57 Freeway near Angel Stadium. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to delivering excellent patient care through advanced surgical technology and a collaborative clinical team. Were seeking a HIGH ENERGY Fluoroscopy Technologist who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a surgical environment, and brings a positive team attitude.
Position Summary
As a Fluoroscopy Technologist, you will perform imaging procedures using C-arm and fluoroscopic equipment. Your responsibilities include accurate patient positioning, equipment calibration, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Experience with GE One or other GE fluoroscopic systems is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Follow physician instructions to determine imaging areas.
Properly position patients and imaging equipment for procedures including pain management, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and podiatry.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols for patients, providers, and self.
Utilize shielding and best practices to minimize exposure.
Accurately document and maintain patient records.
Monitor and maintain inventory of radiology supplies; anticipate and order as needed.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Track and manage dosimeter badge usage and returns.
Conduct and document weekly quality control checks on fluoroscopy equipment; report issues to the Administrator.
Support the Administrator and Clinical Manager with general duties on low-volume days.
Qualifications
Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or two (2) years of direct experience in the field.
Valid California Radiologic Technologist license.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current BLS certification (Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer).
Experience in trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgery preferred.
Must pass a background check.
Skills and Attributes
Proficient in general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR procedures.
Technical knowledge to calibrate and maintain imaging equipment.
Physical stamina and strength to assist patients and stand for long periods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and patients.
