Reliability Engineer

Job SummaryThe Reliability Engineer is directly responsible for developing predictive and preventative maintenance strategies on the "enterprise" level.

Along with other Engineering teams, the Reliability Engineer will pioneer processes to ensure World Class Maintenance at all US plants.

The Reliability Engineer will be the authority on maintenance processes, including but not limited to Computerized Maintenance Management System, Predictive Maintenance, and Lean methodology.nEssential Duties/ResponsibilitiesNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

nnChampion the deployment and administration of the CMMS – Maintenance ConnectionnDefine and establish key performance indicators for maintenance effectiveness, drive tothe plant level and develop reporting strategy.nDevelop predictive maintenance initiatives of Oil Analysis, Vibration Analysis, andInfrared Surveys.

Develop relationships with service providers and implement across allplants.nReview Predictive Maintenance analysis and develop internal diagnostics and reporting.nDevelop maintenance training for plant critical asset knowledge, maintenancefundamentals, and Maintenance Connection.

Research skill levels versus compensation.nIntegrate Maintenance Connection with established departmental processes developedby QA, Environmental, Safety, Accounting, and IT.nProvide leadership and support of Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as Six Sigma,Kaizen, and 5S.nOffer support for Root Cause Analysis of major equipment malfunctions and downtime.

.nReview reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving operationsand solving maintenance-related problems.nTracks, analyzes, and improves key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization,maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance.Minimum QualificationsnBachelors Degree in engineering.nMinimum of 5 years in a maintenance environment with emphasis on reliabilitynMinimum of 2 years experience with CMMS, such as Mainteannce Connection, MP2, Maximo, or eMaint.nnPreferred Qualificationnn Strong organizational and communication skills and problem solving.nAbility to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines.nDemonstrates time management skills.nAble to speak, read, and write English.nIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.nAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment.nAbility to fax, copy and scan documents.nnPhysical DemandsnnOccasionally lift up to 25 lbs.nFrequently required to sit for extended periods.nOccasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.nRegularly required reach with hands and arms.nnWork EnvironmentJob functions will be carried out in an office or in a production environment.Travel requirement is 50% - 75%, nationwide.nnDarling Ingredients is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to race, age,color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or, protected veteran status.
