Job Title: Graduate Assistant for Athletic Operations

Reporting Relationship: Jeff Reyes

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: Intercollegiate Athletics-IWU Marion

Campus Location: Recreation & Wellness Center, Marion, IN

Summary of Position: The Athletic Operations Graduate Assistant primarily facilitates the execution of home sporting events, including regular season contests and Crossroads League/NAIA Championship events. The Graduate Assistant will be involved in the daily functions of a Top 5 NAIA athletic department and will have the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of athletic operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, schedule, and supervise Game Day Crew student-workers

Monitor and approve student-worker timecards

Coordinate communication of game day information with visiting teams as assigned

Serve as the on-site administrator for a percentage of home events, including game day setup, supervision of game day staff, and crowd management

Oversee and manage ticketing operations for all sports

Oversee and manage concession operations for all sports, including inventory management

Other projects and/or duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into an IWU master’s program is required for the Graduate Assistant role

Experience
