Lebanon Fire Department (LFD) inspects over 1500 properties annually
LFD's Fire and Life Safety Programs offers community services
Child safety seat installations
Smoke detector program
Fire Extinguisher Training
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Perform fire safety inspections and ensure fire code compliance
May respond to complex emergency incident(s) within the City of Lebanon.
Participates in public relations (PR) education, events and/or programs on fire prevention and safety measures
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent accreditation PLUS four (4) years' experience as a "full-time" Firefighter EMT/Paramedic. Prior code enforcement experience is preferred OR
High school diploma or equivalent PLUS three (3) years' experience as a Firefighter EMT/ Paramedic in a full-time paid position with a municipal fire department or fire district OR
High school diploma or equivalent PLUS five (5) years' experience as a Firefighter EMT/ Paramedic with a volunteer fire department that is similar in size, call volume, and operations as LFD
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Valid Driver's License
Possess OR obtain:
Missouri Firefighter I Certification - Possess
Missouri Firefighter II Certification - Possess
Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Awareness Certification - Possess
Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Operations Certification - Possess
Missouri Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license, or higher - Possess
Fire Inspector I - Obtain within one year of employment
